European high-tech based on academic research
Floatech’s technology originated in a breakthrough in an ERC starting grant, as a new method to synthesise macroscopic networks of 1D nanowires to form freestanding solids. Development was mainly carried out at IMDEA Materials Institute in Madrid, which is known for its outstanding contribution to floating catalyst synthesis.

CEO of Floatech. Executive Director with more than 30 years of experience in the sectors of industry and energy. He has been General Director of Abengoa Solar fotovoltaica for 11 years and Technical and Business Development Director of Tyco Electronics for 20 years.

Founder and CTO of Floatech. PhD from the University of Cambridge and Senior Researcher at the IMDEA Materials Institute where he leads the Multifunctional Nanocomposites Group.

Dr. Syed Danish Ali Zaidi
Electrochemist. Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, China, and a Master's degree in Material Processing Engineering from Donghua University, Shanghai, China. Specialized in battery materials research and development at the cell level, with over five years of postdoctoral experience.
Rafael Rider Ruiz
Workshop Manager. Former Laboratory Chief at Tyco Electronics for 10 years and Honeywell for 6 years. Specialized in chemical analysis and industrial processes.
Víctor López Negro
Electronics and Automation Engineer. Holds a Master’s degree in Digital and Power Electronics from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, also certified as an Industrial Engineer by the same institution.
Dr. Isabel Gómez Palos
Scale-up lead. Holds a Ph.D. with distinction and an M.Sc. in Materials Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). Involved in the development of the company's innovative production process.
